The Forklift Battery 48V 600Ah is a 51.2-volt LiFePO4 traction pack of 30,720 watt-hours with a 500-amp continuous rating, rated IP54, supplied in a weighted box matched to the truck data plate. It powers 3.5 to 4 tonne trucks on long shifts.

A heavy truck on a twelve-hour shift with continuous loading uses 20 to 28 kilowatt-hours. 30,720 watt-hours cover that in one charge, and the operation runs a shift pattern rather than a charging pattern. The pack still takes an opportunity charge whenever a break allows.
Watering
The cost that disappears
Watering a lead traction battery across a year of shift work runs into hundreds of dollars in labour alone, and a missed watering shortens the battery. This pack has no cells to water, no equalising charge to schedule and no specific gravity to check.
Charging
Charging a 30 kilowatt-hour pack
A 300-amp charger returns this pack in around two hours of connected time, a 500-amp unit in a little over one. On a twelve-hour shift pattern the truck charges once between shifts and takes a break-time top-up when the work is heavy.

Ordering for long-shift work
Send the truck details, the compartment dimensions and the plated weight. State the shift length as well: a twelve-hour pattern changes the charger sizing even when the truck and the pack are the same as a neighbouring fleet on eight.
