Forklift Battery 48V 230Ah

The Forklift Battery 48V 230Ah is a 51.2-volt LiFePO4 traction pack of 11,776 watt-hours with a 300-amp continuous rating, rated IP54, supplied in a weighted box matched to the truck data plate. It powers 1.5 to 2 tonne counterbalance and reach trucks.

Why a lighter battery needs weight added

A counterbalance truck uses its battery as part of the counterweight. Swapping 1,200 kilograms of lead for 300 of lithium takes that weight away, and the truck loses rated capacity at the fork. The pack ships in a weighted tray built to the truck data plate so the rating stays valid. Confirm the required battery weight from the plate before ordering.

Narrow aisle duty

A reach truck lifts high and travels short distances, drawing heavy current in bursts as the mast works. The 600-amp peak covers those lifts, and the pack takes the regenerative current the mast returns on the way down rather than refusing it the way a full lead bank does.

Charging in the aisle

A reach truck charges where it parks at the end of an aisle. The connector stays on the truck and the pack never comes out. No aisle has to be cleared for a change trolley. A 150-amp charger returns a full pack across a night shift or half of one over a long break.

Ordering for a reach truck

Reach trucks vary more than counterbalance trucks in compartment shape. Send the model, the compartment length, width and height, and the plated minimum battery weight. The pack ships in a tray weighted to that plate so the residual capacity chart on the mast stays valid.
