The Auto 12V Auxiliary LFP Battery H6 is a 12.8-volt 70 amp-hour pack rated 900 cold-cranking amps with a 70-amp continuous rating, in the standard H6 case at 9.5 kilograms. It fits mid-size cars and the audio installs that draw hard with the engine switched off.

Playing with the engine off

A 1,000-watt amplifier pulls around 90 amps at 12 volts on peaks and averages far less across a track. A show or a tailgate runs that load for hours with no alternator behind it. A starting battery is built for a ten-second burst and loses capacity fast when it is drained and refilled that way. This pack cycles to 80 percent depth thousands of times, and its 896 watt-hours hold an evening of playback.

What the amplifier sees
Amplifier output follows supply voltage. A lead battery sags through a bass note and the amp clips early. A lithium pack holds its terminal voltage far closer to nominal under the same draw, and the system keeps its headroom deeper into the session.
Starting
900 amps
The pack still starts the car. 900 cold-cranking amps cover a mid-size petrol engine or a small diesel, and the H6 case drops into the standard tray in place of a lead battery of about 20 kilograms.
The Install
Cable and fusing for 90 amps
An install pulling 90 amps wants cable and protection to match. A 4 AWG run to the amplifier with a fuse within 30 centimetres of the battery is the usual build, and the earth return needs the same section as the feed. Undersized cable puts back the voltage drop the battery upgrade was fitted to remove.

Fit
Charging
The alternator charges the pack on the road. After a long session with the engine off, a lithium charger at 14.6 volts refills it faster than an idle. Size the charge lead to the current an install pulls.
