The 12V 9Ah LiFePO4 battery is a 12.8-volt block of 115.2 watt-hours, the next capacity up from the 6 and 7Ah blocks in the same small-battery family. Its usual home is a child’s ride-on car, where the extra amp-hours buy playtime and the lower weight shows in how the vehicle moves.

The conversion, in detail

A 12V ride-on toy ships with a 9 to 10 amp-hour lead battery and runs 45 to 90 minutes on a charge. In normal cruising the motor draws 1 to 3 amps, well inside this block’s 9-amp continuous rating, and the flat lithium discharge keeps the wheels at full speed to the end of the charge instead of slowing as a lead battery drains. The swap is physical: same tray, same connectors, half the weight.
A ride-on motor can spike to 25 or 30 amps when it stalls against a curb or grinds up a slope, above the 18-amp five-second peak this block allows, so a hard stall may trip the BMS until the load eases. For a small single-motor toy on flat ground that rarely happens and the 9Ah block is a clean fit. A heavier two-motor or off-road toy that pulls those peaks often is better matched to the 18 or 20Ah blocks in this range, which carry 36 to 40 amps of peak.

What the lighter pack does
A 9Ah lithium block weighs about 1.05 kilograms against roughly 2.5 for the lead battery it replaces. On a small vehicle that saved mass turns into quicker acceleration and a longer run, because the motor is no longer hauling the battery’s own weight around the yard.

The bundled lead charger often parks at a float voltage a lithium pack is not suited to, so fit a LiFePO4 charger set to 14.6 volts, which fills the pack in about an hour and stops cleanly at the top. The BMS guards against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent and a short from small hands, and opens the charge path below freezing. Discharge runs down to minus twenty, which keeps the toy working on a cold morning, and stored packs sit at 30 to 50 percent charge.
Other Uses
Past the toy
A portable field instrument, an AV trolley, or a handheld spotlight run the same 115.2 watt-hours at a steady 12.8 volts, and the F2 terminals let it drop into any enclosure built for a 12V 9Ah lead unit. A full charge takes about an hour at the 9-amp rated current, or runs gentler and cooler at half that current when there is time to spare.
