12V 40Ah LiFePO4 Battery

12.8V 40Ah LiFePO4 battery, 512Wh, M6 terminals. For medical carts, solar lighting, small trolling and off-grid systems.

SKU: DC12-40 Category:

The 12V 40Ah LiFePO4 battery is a 12.8-volt block of 512 watt-hours on M6 terminals. It is the largest of the small-format blocks and the first size that carries a real deep-cycle load, from a mobile medical cart to a small trolling motor to an off-grid lighting system.

Mobile Power

Half a kilowatt-hour on a cart

LiFePO4 12V battery pack

A mobile medical cart runs a laptop, a monitor and a small printer from a 12V battery through a shift, a draw that averages tens of watts with spikes when the printer runs. 512 watt-hours carry that load across a working day with the quiet, sealed operation a clinical setting needs, and the battery charges overnight for the next shift. The flat discharge holds the electronics at working voltage from the start of the shift to the end, where a lead battery would drift low through the afternoon. The same block suits AV carts, powered access equipment and portable instruments that want clean power on wheels.

On The Water

A trolling motor, by speed

512 watt-hours is a small trolling-motor battery for a light boat at low throttle. A Minn Kota Endura 30 draws current that climbs steeply with the speed dial, so the runtime this block gives depends on which speed the water and wind allow:

Endura 30 speed Draw Runtime on 40Ah
Speed 1 8A ≈5.3 h
Speed 3 14A ≈3.0 h
Speed 5 (full) 30A ≈1.4 h

The 40-amp continuous rating covers the motor at any speed.

Off-Grid

Lighting and standby

Away from the cart and the boat, 40Ah is a small off-grid lighting bank and a solar street-light battery on a high pole. A four-cell build of larger cells reaches the same voltage, but a self-contained 40Ah block is the simpler answer where one battery does the job, and it replaces a lead block of nearly three times the weight.

Cold Chain

A day of cold

On the cold-chain side, 512 watt-hours run a 12-volt compressor fridge close to a full warm-weather day. A Dometic CFX3-class unit drawing about 40 amp-hours empties the pack over roughly a day, which a 100-watt panel then refills, making the block a self-contained cooler supply for a market stall or a field clinic. The 40-amp continuous rating also takes the compressor inrush at start-up without a voltage dip.

Fit

Fitment and charging

Charge at 14.6 volts from a lithium charger, torque the M6 ring lugs to the datasheet figure, and set a solar controller to an LFP profile without equalization. The BMS carries the four standard protections and a low-temperature charge cutoff, discharge runs from minus twenty to sixty degrees, and storage sits at 30 to 50 percent charge. Bring the blocks to the same resting voltage before joining them in parallel.
