The 48V 24Ah E-Bike Battery is a 48-volt LiFePO4 pack of 1,229 watt-hours with a 40-amp continuous rating, rated IP65 at 12 kilograms. It is sized as a conversion pack for an electric bicycle running four 12-volt lead batteries.
The Conversion
Out with four lead blocks

A standard 48-volt electric bicycle carries four 12-volt lead batteries of 12 to 20 amp-hours, near 30 kilograms in the box. This pack replaces all four at 12 kilograms and delivers 24 usable amp-hours where the lead set gave perhaps 8 to 10 before the voltage sagged. The bike gains range and loses 18 kilograms in the same move.
Matching The Controller
Current and cutoff
Check two numbers on the bicycle before ordering. The controller current rating has to sit under the 40-amp continuous rating of the pack, and the controller low-voltage cutoff has to sit above the pack cutoff and the controller then stops first. A 48-volt controller of 500 to 1,000 watts normally falls inside both.
The Box
Fitting the old battery bay
Four lead blocks leave a large bay. The pack sits in that space with foam or a moulded spacer, and the lighter mass lets a builder mount it lower for better handling. Keep the wiring runs short and fuse the main lead close to the terminal.
Fusing
Protecting the main lead
A 40-amp pack behind a bicycle harness wants a fuse or a resettable breaker within a few centimetres of the positive terminal. Size it above the controller draw and below the pack rating, near 50 amps for a 1,000-watt build. That single part is what stands between a chafed cable and a fire on a home-built conversion.

Fit
Charging
Fit a 48-volt lithium charger at 54.75 volts and retire the lead charger with the batteries. A lead charger will not fill this pack correctly.
