1. Order Processing
| Order type | Processing time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| In-stock cells and packs | 1–2 business days | Orders after 14:00 CT count from the next business day |
| Multi-pallet and project orders | 2–5 business days | Includes dangerous-goods paperwork preparation |
| Custom and configured packs | Per order confirmation | Production schedule stated in writing at order |
Weekends and US public holidays are not business days. You receive an email at dispatch; if processing will exceed these windows for any reason, we tell you before the window closes, not after.
2. Where We Ship
We ship to the 48 contiguous US states from US stock as standard. Alaska, Hawaii and US territories are served by surface and sea options quoted case by case. International destinations are quoted individually; see Section 12.
3. Carriers, Methods and Timeframes
| Method | Typical transit | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| UPS / FedEx Ground | 1–5 business days by zone | Single cells, small packs, accessories |
| LTL freight (palletized) | 3–7 business days | Cell cartons over parcel limits, 48V packs, multi-unit orders |
| Full truckload / dedicated | Quoted | Container-scale and project deliveries |
| Sea / surface to AK, HI, territories | Quoted | All battery products outside the lower 48 |
Transit times are carrier estimates from dispatch, not guarantees. Expedited ground can be quoted where lithium transport rules permit it; overnight air is not available for battery products (Section 5).
4. Shipping Rates
Parcel rates are calculated live at checkout by weight, dimensions and destination. Freight is quoted before dispatch and confirmed with you if it differs from the checkout estimate. Rates include standard liftgate service for residential freight deliveries; special services such as inside delivery or scheduled appointments beyond the carrier’s normal booking are quoted on request.
5. Lithium Battery Transport Compliance
- Ground transport is the standard lawful mode for lithium goods across the continental US.
- Air carriage of lithium batteries is heavily restricted; passenger aircraft rules cap spare batteries at 160Wh, which excludes every pack we sell, and cargo-aircraft options require special arrangement.
- Shipments include the test summary reference for the cells inside, and copies of UN38.3 documentation are available for your own onward logistics.
- If you re-ship our products, you become the shipper under transport law; use the original packaging or equivalent certified packaging.
6. Packaging
Cells ship in dividers that separate terminals, with non-conductive covers on studs, in double-wall cartons rated for the weight. Packs ship foam-fitted with terminal covers installed. Pallet orders are banded, corner-protected and stretch-wrapped, with tilt indicators on system-scale shipments.
7. Tracking Your Order
The dispatch email carries the parcel tracking number or the freight PRO number. Parcel tracking activates at first carrier scan, usually the same evening. For freight, the carrier’s terminal calls the phone number on the order to book a delivery window, so use a number that answers during business hours.
8. Freight Deliveries by Pallet
- Someone must be present to receive, inspect and sign.
- Standard service is curbside with liftgate: the driver lowers the pallet to the ground; moving goods inside is not included.
- Have a clear, level spot for the pallet; a standard pallet jack needs hard ground.
- Redelivery fees charged by the carrier for missed appointments are passed through at cost.
9. Inspection on Delivery
Count cartons against the delivery receipt and look over the packaging before signing. If anything is crushed, punctured, wet or missing, write it on the delivery receipt in specific words (“2 cartons crushed”, not “subject to inspection”), have the driver acknowledge it, and photograph everything. Concealed damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the packaging and product. These steps preserve the carrier claim; miss them and the carrier can lawfully deny it.
10. Lost, Delayed or Damaged Shipments
If tracking stalls for more than 3 business days (parcel) or past the estimated window (freight), contact us and we open a trace the same day. Confirmed lost shipments are replaced or refunded in full. Damage reported per Section 9 is resolved by replacement or refund at your choice, and we handle the carrier claim ourselves; you never wait on a carrier to be made whole.
11. Address Changes and Refused Delivery
We can change the address free of charge any time before dispatch. After dispatch, carrier reroute fees apply at cost. Refused deliveries without a prior return authorization travel back at your expense and are processed under the Return & Refund Policy.
12. International Orders
Email sales@shinkopower.com with the products, quantities and destination country. We confirm the lawful transport mode, the documents (commercial invoice, dangerous-goods declaration, UN38.3 summary), the incoterm and the cost before you commit. Import duties, taxes and brokerage in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility unless the quotation states otherwise.
13. Restrictions and Special Addresses
Battery products cannot ship to PO boxes; a physical address is required. APO/FPO military addresses cannot receive lithium freight due to air-carriage restrictions. Locker and pickup-point services that ban dangerous goods are likewise unavailable for battery items.
