12V 30Ah LiFePO4 Battery

12.8V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery, 384Wh, M6 terminals. For monitoring stations, solar lighting, portable power and light mobility.

SKU: DC12-30 Category:

The 12V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery is a 12.8-volt block of 384 watt-hours on M6 terminals. It sits at the top of the small-format range, the size for a monitoring post that needs several days of autonomy or a portable power box with real reserve.

Autonomy

Days of reserve at a remote site

LiFePO4 12V battery pack

A monitoring camera or sensor station drawing a few watts around the clock uses tens of watt-hours a day, and this block holds a week or more of reserve on one charge, the autonomy a remote installation is specified for. Forest and water monitoring posts, pole cameras and solar lighting on high poles all size their battery here when a smaller block cannot carry the worst stretch of weather. The M6 terminals take the heavier ring lugs those installations use.

Cold Sites

How it behaves in winter

Discharge runs down to minus twenty, so the battery keeps the site working through a cold night. Charge is the guarded side: the BMS opens the charge path below freezing to protect the cells from lithium plating, so a winter post waits to take charge until the day warms it above zero, or an installer fits a heater film or sets the controller to hold off until the pack is warm. Self-discharge stays at 2 to 3 percent a month across the cold, and a battery left through a quiet season is still near full when it is called on.

Portable Power

The carried side

The same block is the core of a portable power unit for camping, market stalls and worksite charging. At 384 watt-hours it runs lights, a fan, and phone and laptop charging through an evening, and the 30-amp continuous rating handles a small inverter’s draw. The case is still light enough to carry at under 3.5 kilograms, a third the weight of the lead battery of the same capacity.

Fit

Fitment and charging

Charge at 14.6 volts, torque the M6 ring lugs to the datasheet figure, and set a solar controller to an LFP profile without equalization. The BMS carries overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short-circuit and low-temperature charge protection, and storage sits at 30 to 50 percent charge. Match blocks by resting voltage before a parallel connection.
