The 48V 15Ah E-Bike Battery is a 48-volt LiFePO4 pack of 720 watt-hours with a 30-amp continuous rating, rated IP65 at 8 kilograms. It is the range version of the commuter pack.
The Extra Capacity
144 watt-hours of margin
The step up from 12 amp-hours adds 144 watt-hours, around 10 to 25 kilometres of real riding. That margin turns a commute that needed a mid-week charge into one that runs a full working week, and it leaves reserve for a detour or a headwind at the end of a long day.
Current
30 amps for a stronger motor
A 500-watt motor pulls about 10 amps at 48 volts in steady running and two to three times that on a hill start. The 30-amp continuous rating and the 60-amp peak cover those bursts without the pack cutting out mid-climb, and the controller sees a steady voltage through the pull.
Cycle Life
Two thousand charges
At 2,000 cycles a rider who charges four times a week has more than nine years of pack life before capacity fades. Lithium iron phosphate holds that count where a lithium-cobalt pack of the same size gives 500 to 800.
Fitting
Connector and bay check
Bicycle battery bays differ by frame. Confirm three things before ordering: the bay length and the rail spacing, the discharge connector the controller expects, and whether the charge port sits on the pack or on the frame. A pack that fits the bay but carries the wrong connector needs an adapter lead rather than a return.

Charging
A 48-volt lithium charger at 54.75 volts fills the pack. Leave it near half charge for a long winter lay-up rather than storing it full or empty.
