The Auto 12V Auxiliary LFP Battery H7 is a 12.8-volt 80 amp-hour pack rated 1,000 cold-cranking amps with an 80-amp continuous rating, in the H7 case at 10.5 kilograms. It suits large cars and the chassis battery position on a motorhome.
The Chassis Battery
Starting after a long stop

A motorhome chassis battery sits apart from the habitation bank and does one job: start the engine after the vehicle has stood for weeks. Standby loads on a modern chassis, the tracker, the alarm and the ECU memory, drain a lead battery through that stand, and the owner comes back to a click. This pack holds its charge at 2 to 3 percent a month and delivers 1,000 cold-cranking amps at the end of the stand.
Large Engines
1000 amps
1,000 cold-cranking amps turn a large petrol V6 or a 2.5 to 3.0-litre diesel, including the cold-start current a diesel needs after its glow plugs cycle. The H7 case is the standard fitment for that class of engine, and the lead battery it replaces weighs 22 to 25 kilograms.
Second Duty
Loads at a stop
The 80-amp continuous rating and 1,024 watt-hours cover the loads a chassis battery picks up at a rest stop: cab lighting, a fridge on the chassis circuit, a laptop through an inverter. The pack takes that daily cycling for thousands of rounds.
Handling
Lifting and holding it down
An H7 lead battery weighs 22 to 25 kilograms and takes two hands and a straight back to lift out of a chassis bay. This one weighs 10.5. The case matches the H7 footprint and the standard base clamp holds it without a spacer. Check the hold-down is tight before closing the bay: a pack free to move works its terminals loose across a season of road vibration.

Fit
Charging
The engine alternator handles routine charging. A shore charger on a motorhome wants an LFP profile at 14.6 volts. Keep the chassis pack separated from the habitation bank by a split charge relay or a DC-DC unit.
